How to Prepare

Yay, you booked a session or chose SSMP to capture your life event!

What can I bring?

For the majority of sessions you can bring outfit changes and props! We love variety and color. For more information on outfit ideas go to the drop down bar (above) and hover on ‘Sessions’ and then click “What to Expect”. As for props, bring items that are meaningful: A quilt a grandma made, a favorite stuffed animal or sign announcing a special day. If you need a bit more inspiration click below.

Ultimately, we want to capture the beauty of YOU!

What is the best way to communicate with the Photographer?

Once we have initially communicated and picked date and location, feel free to ask any questions you have! I try to check my email ridiculously often and can answer whatever question you have, even if it is a ‘silly’ question. I am also available to my clients via phone and if there is a last minute situation I am easily reachable by call or text.

What if there is bad weather?

On a session day I am constantly checking the weather! Believe me your worries are my worries too! If there is a possibility of bad weather I will contact you and see if you feel comfortable with working in the drizzle or flurries, and if not we can reschedule. But if you are game with the elements (and we have enough light to capture beautiful photos) then sometimes those are the best sessions!

How will we find you on the day of the session (or meeting)?

In our communication to set up the date and location we will set a spot to meet. However, I understand it can be a bit daunting searching for someone you haven’t met! If you want to take a gander at my lovely face go up to the drop down bar (above) and click on ‘Meet Sarah Marie’. And if you feel adventurous day of – yell out “Marco” and I might just reply “Polo”!
